Welcome to Mrs. Boggs' math class!

It's time to get your math brains in gear.  "How can I do that?" you ask.  Start by working on the basic skills needed to succeed in class:  mastery of basic math facts, sharp critical thinking skills and perseverance.  An excellent way to get ready and stay focused is to work on First in Math.  This is a great way to work on your math skills while having some fun.

Be sure to come to class prepared everyday.

Important Classroom Reminders

Students are required to bring all materials to class. This includes their math journal, composition book, binder, textbook and homework. Students are not permitted to return to classrooms or lockers for forgotten items. Forgotten or incomplete homework is documented and loses ten percent per day late if it is a graded assignment. The first offense is a warning. If four offenses are recorded, the student will be given after school detention.

Students are permitted to do corrections on assignments and quizzes for half points. Corrections
must be completed on a separate piece of paper showing all work needed to solve the problems.
Corrections should be stapled to the original assignment when submitted.
Corrections must be
completed within one week of the assignment date
. Students in grade six who wish to earn a better grade on a test must complete corrections AND retake the incorrect portions of the test in class for half points. Retakes will be offered two or three days after the original test date. No students will be permitted to retake a test without first submitting completed test corrections.
